Trinet offers additional services that are subject to a charge.
If you just want your own hostname for your computer, you can get it without costs using a dynamic DNS service (for example DynDNS). You can get a MX record too. The name you get there is also transferable, so you can keep using it in the future outside the TKY network.
Services available
1. DHCP reservation with yourhostname.kyla.fi (5 e/month)
This includes:
- 1 DHCP reservation
- 1 yourhostname.kyla.fi DNS record (extra names 1 e/month/name)
- MX record for email (if required)
This means that you have the same (dedicated) address all the time. If you move to another building inside the Teekkarikylä, the ip address will change, but your hostname stays.
2. Your own 8 address subnet (for 5 hosts) (20 e/month)
This includes:
- 5 DHCP reservations
- 5 yourhostname.kyla.fi DNS records (extra names 1 e/month/name)
- MX records for all hosts (if required)
You can move with your own subnet within the Teekkarikylä.
